The addition of the Yidam texts are for students who have a daily practice schedule and who are very close to finishing their ngondro. Ideally they have completed the accumulations. Students must have also been working on level two texts as well as certain studies on the Vajrayana path. Students may feel a personal connection with the practices at level two and wish to focus on these. The majority of the Yidams selected at level three have inner practices of tummo or tsa-lung associated with them as well as Dzogchen teachings. This is an area that a student meets with Rinpoche about. One may have certain indications through their practice which yidam is best, or Rinpoche may choose to do Dream Yoga to assist in the selection.
Level Three Inserts
- Outer mantra to Ekajati (not a yidam but added to protector prayers)
- Guru Yoga Supplication to Khachab Rinpoche

There are several additional prayers that RSL sanghas may use including prayers for the Rime Lineage, Bardo , Phowa and so forth.
